For this review, we decided to give the fan favorite, Mori Sushi, a try! Mori’s sushi is not the typical sushi size; it’s known for its fusion and different flavors! We all head to Mori, or any sushi place for that matter, and go through the hassle of choosing our rolls wisely, but that’s exactly what CAIROEATS is here for! Mori has a number of branches; you can find them in Zamalek, Mohandiseen, 6th of October, Helioplis, Maadi, Nasr City and Tagamo’! Our favorite branches are Mohandiseen and Zamalek despite the very difficult parking! The setting of the place is great, luxurious and very clean, encouraging customers to always come back for more!

We always like to start off our meal with one of their famous appetizers; the ‘Spicy Shrimp Mayonnaise’ – it’s to die for! The shrimp tempura is tender and their spicy mayo sauce is one of the best in town – you can order extra sauce on the side if you’re a spicy food lover! We also like to start off our sushi fiestas with hand rolls (Temaki), specifically the salmon, and again the shrimp tempura with spicy mayo sauce!

Mori Spicy Shrimp Mayo

Mori is well renowned for their fresh salmon; as a start, go for the standards; Sake (Salmon Nigiri), Sake Sashimi (Salmon Sashimi) and Hoso Sake Maki (Salmon Hoso). You can then choose from their Special Ura rolls; we definitely recommend the Mori Rainbow, Pink Panther, Philadelphia Roll and the Ura Crab and Shrimp Paste! Our favorite is the pink panther; which is a little bit spicy from the sriracha sauce on top! We also think you would like the Hanami Roll, or the Togarash Roll – they’re both a bit heavy so order them as half portions!

As for the Dynamite Rolls, we think that Mori’s are one the best in town, whether it’s the Dynamite Mix (salmon, shrimps, mayo and chives), the Whole Shrimp Dynamite (with a whole shrimp on top of the roll), or the Dynamite Salmon and Shrimp Tempura!

Mori 2

For those of you who don’t really fancy raw fish, we definitely recommend Mori’s hot rolls! Even though we’re not big on fried sushi, we absolutely love their Spicy Lemon Roll! They’re huge pieces of fried salmon, shrimp and rice covered in spicy mayo sauce, and that’s why we think this roll is best shared! You could also order their Hot Ura Saki with Cheese (salmon), or their Hot Ura Ebi with Cheese (shrimps), or their New Hot Roll. Very tasteful, but heavy rolls which are also best shared!

Our last suggestion is from the Oshi section – you have to order the Oshi Shrimp Tempura Roll, but add spicy mayo sauce instead of cheese or standard mayo!

Mori has a wide variety of desserts; we tried their Fried Bananas, Chocolate Fondant and the Crème Brulee! The fried bananas is not that special, but the dark chocolate fondant and crème brulee are very appetizing!

Mori is definitely one of our favorite sushi restaurants in Egypt; we would also like to give them credit for their spot on colorful presentation!
